Le Chemin de Stevenson, aussi connu sous le nom de GR70, est l’un des sentiers de randonnée les plus emblématiques de France. Inspiré par le voyage de l’écrivain Robert Louis Stevenson en 1878 avec son ânesse Modestine, cet itinéraire traverse des paysages sauvages et préservés, du Puy-en-Velay jusqu’à Alès. Et bonne nouvelle : Florac-Trois-Rivières, où se niche le Grand Hôtel du Parc, est une étape clé de ce parcours ! Le GR70 passe directement à Florac, ce qui en fait un point de départ idéal pour découvrir ses tronçons les plus spectaculaires. Voici deux suggestions d’étapes accessibles depuis l’hôtel :

- Niveau : Moyen – quelques montées mais rien d’insurmontable.
- Paysages : Vous longerez la vallée du Tarnon avant de grimper vers le Mont Lozère. Forêts de châtaigniers, ruisseaux cristallins et vues panoramiques sur les Cévennes vous accompagneront.
- À voir : Le charmant village du Pont-de-Montvert avec son pont médiéval et ses ruelles pittoresques.
- Niveau : Modéré – parfait pour une escapade sur deux jours avec une nuit en gîte.
- Paysages : Des sentiers bordés de genêts et de bruyères, des passages ombragés et une descente douce vers la vallée du Gardon.
- À voir : Les vestiges de l’ancienne voie ferrée à Cassagnas et le patrimoine cévenol de Saint-Jean-du-Gard.

- Quand partir ? : Le printemps (avril-juin) et l’automne (septembre-octobre) offrent des températures idéales et des couleurs magnifiques. L’été est aussi parfait, mais prévoyez de l’eau et une casquette !
