Aujourd’hui, nous vous invitons à vous rendre chez Atelier TUFFERY, pour une visite passionnante qui vous plongera dans les coulisses de la fabrication d’un jean. À Florac-Trois-Rivières, à deux pas du Grand Hôtel du Parc, cette entreprise familiale créée en 1892 vous dévoilera son savoir-faire artisanal exceptionnel lors de chaque étape de la confection d’un jean 100 % made in France. Dans une atmosphère aussi moderne que chaleureuse, vous suivrez un guide passionné qui répondra à toutes vos questions pour devenir incollable sur l’histoire du “blue jean”. Et qui sait ? Atelier TUFFERY : la manufacture vous ouvre ses portes
Cette visite s’adresse à tous les férus d’histoire, de préservation du patrimoine et d’artisanat local : en poussant les portes de la manufacture, vous serez saisi(e) par tous les détails, des photos aux outils, qui retracent une histoire longue de plus de 130 ans. En voici un avant-goût.
Atelier TUFFERY, fondé en 1892 par Célestin Tuffery en plein cœur des Cévennes, est un véritable symbole du savoir-faire français. À ses débuts, Célestin fabriquait des pantalons solides pour les ouvriers cévenols, devenant ainsi un pionnier dans la confection de jeans en France. Malgré les crises du textile, l'atelier a su traverser les épreuves grâce à l'engagement indéfectible de la famille Tuffery et au soutien de sa clientèle locale.
Depuis les années 2010, l’entreprise connaît un nouvel élan avec Julien, l’arrière-petit-fils du fondateur, et sa femme Myriam. Ils ont su redonner vie à la marque en misant sur le made in France et en préservant la tradition artisanale. Atelier TUFFERY a reçu le prestigieux label Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant, gage d’un savoir-faire exceptionnel transmis de génération en génération.

Une visite fascinante : plongez dans l’univers du jean français
Lors de la visite guidée, votre guide vous emmènera dans les coulisses de l'atelier et vous fera découvrir l’univers du jean 100 % made in France, ainsi que l’histoire de la famille Tuffery. Sous vos yeux émerveillés se dérouleront toutes les étapes de fabrication, depuis le dessin du vêtement jusqu’à la couture finale. À l'aide de techniques ancestrales, comme le patronage sur toile avec une craie minérale, vous verrez les maîtres tailleurs découper à la main les 44 pièces nécessaires à la confection d’un jean.

Vous apprendrez comment elle s’engage pour une mode éthique et durable : en utilisant des matériaux écoresponsables et en favorisant des pratiques respectueuses de l’environnement, du choix des matières premières au plus près de l’atelier jusqu’à la fabrication en fonction de la demande pour éviter la surproduction.
